The event is postponed now what?
The event has been postponed to a later date due to Covid-19, we will automatically transfer your registration to the new date, without you having to take any actions.
Why are refunds not possible?
We would like to take a moment to explain why we cannot proceed to any FULL registration refunds. This applies to all causes, no exceptions.
Please know that we completely understand your daily realities and we would like to explain ours. When you registered yourself, either weeks or months ago, we already started producing the event for you. You bought a service from us (and not a product) and we already worked to produce this service to you.
Each Registration fee includes: Advertising, printing costs, mailings, program book, marketing, staff salaries, insurance, venue and supplier down payments, office operating costs, monthly expenses like electricity, phone, internet, etc. The Registration fee covers the cost of running the Coast to Coast business. Authorizing refunds means a 100% refund for an event that is already 80% produced and paid for.
To be completely transparent with you, authorizing refunds during the current situation, means threatening the livelihood of our company and consequently the Coast to Coast Show, which has been supporting the creative art industry for more than 24 years now.
We simply ask you to give some time to all the event producing companies, like ours, to fall back on their feet and find solutions to ensure the longevity of our events across Canada. We won’t let you down. Please don’t let down on us!
So there are Three options for you, as a registered student:
What’s our reality as a Canadian Small Company?
Just like many Canadians, we too are highly impacted by the COVID-19 situation. Just like many of our partnering small to midsize companies (SME), this is a very difficult time for all creative art companies, business, whether they are brick and mortar store, online stores, studio educators, events planners, etc. This time has hit EVERYONE very hard and we must work together to keep the industry strong. You may think we have insurances and that we're safe from all this. Please know that the typical event liability insurance policy covers natural disasters (e.g. fire, flood, earthquake), but doesn’t cover infectious diseases(who knew?).
We can’t control the situation, but we can always control our actions!
Just like you, we are keeping our hopes up and cannot wait to see you again at our creative art shows. We have always been very proud of the support that each of you have shown during the Coast to Coast Creative art Shows. These are values that we want to project within our company and that we wish to encourage, even more during these difficult times.
This is why we wanted to stay close to you, your family and the creative community by giving you continual news in our enewsletters. We will be highlighting one of our teachers/vendors each week and will have FREE creative projects for you to do.
Stay healthy and keep CREATING ! ! !
